Q: Do I have to supply copywriting, images, and logo for the Essential Small Business Website package?
A: Yes, for this package, you’re expected to supply all content. But we are always available to provide assistance.
Q: I want to go with the Essential Small Business package but I may need you to provide some other services. Can you give me a special quote?
A: Prior to starting, we always provide you with a detailed estimate to make sure we’re all clear on expectations.
Q: How long will it take for the site to go live?
A: About two to four weeks for the Essential package, four to eight weeks for the Extended Package and six to twelve weeks for the E-commerce package, after we receive all content and all questions have been answered.
Q: What do you consider minor content updates and revisions?
A: If you have a minor change that takes 5 to 10 minutes, there is no charge. We want you to feel free to ask me to make minor revisions without worrying about getting nickel and dimed.
Q: Can you make edits for me after you go live with my site?
A: Yes, we would be happy to. Our rate is $40 per hour. And if you’re the do-it-yourself type, you can learn to make minor changes and edits yourself with your admin access.
Q: If I already have my domain registered, do I still have to pay for domain registration?
A: No. We can transfer your domain registration to our account and the time you have registered carries over. After the domain expires, our fee is $15 per year.
Q: Do I have to have an SSL Certificate for my E-Commerce site?
A: Technically, you do not because the payment gateway I set up for you will be through Paypal, which is secure. But I highly recommend getting an SSL Certificate to give your customers peace of mind and also get better ranking on search engines.
Q: Can I manage my website and make edits myself after it is set up?
A: Most definitely. We use WordPress, which is easy to learn, and I also provide basic training to get you started.
Q: Other web designers I've spoken with expect me to supply complete copywriting. I am not a writer and do not have a copywriter, can you help with this?
A: Definitely. Our Extended and E-commerce packages include assistance with copywriting. All we ask for is your input about your business and your thorough proofing for accuracy and approval. This includes writing marketing style, SEO copy for best results with search engines.
Q: I don't have a photographer, nor do I know how to go about finding good images for my site. Can you help with this?
A: Absolutely. We have several resources for stock photos at a very reasonable rate and some sources with free images. We will provide a way for you to search or you can leave it up to us to find images for you. Our Extended and E-commerce packages even include us coming to your place of business to take photos. And we can also provide this service for our other packages.
Q: I need someone who responds quickly to my phone calls or emails. Do you have someone available?
A: We take great pride in responding to each and every inquiry from you within 24 hours and most of the time, within minutes. Feel free to reach out to some of our current clients for references.
Q: How quickly can I expect changes to be made on my site?
A: This is something we take great pride in. We are super attentive to our clients’ requests and needs, and our goal is to make changes within 24 to 48 hours. If for some reason we can’t, we will let you know immediately when to expect the changes to be done.
Q: I like to speak with real people and I get so tired of emails and automated response services to get my questions answered. Do you have real people to speak with?
A: Yes we do. I am real and always available to speak with you in-person. Also, if you’re in the Birmingham area, we can always arrange in person meetings to go over whatever you need.
Q: Do you do work outside of the Birmingham area?
A: Yes we do! With today’s technology, we can create websites and online marketing programs for any business throughout the USA. Using Skype, if necessary, we can work with any client as if we were in the same room together.
Q: Do you offer payment plans? I don’t want to pay all fees up front.
A: Yes, we do offer monthly interest free financing, in equal payments over 12, 24, or 36 months, depending on total amount billed.
